Treo 300 disassembly - behind the green foam

Like many others, I had long wondered what was behind the weird blue-green foam beneath the keyboard of my Treo 300 PDA/phone.  Now I know:

The mystery is solved!  Behind the mysterious blue-green foam under the Treo 300 keyboard is...  absolutely nothing.

Apparently the foam has no function, other than to "deaden" the feel of the keyboard, so it doesn't seem so flimsy.
