There are a lot of interesting events coming up that I thought
you might like to know about.  Below is a list of some which
sound good to me.  I plan to attend several of them, and I hope
to see some of you there.

Also, if you want information about "the Richard Morgan
problem" (a/k/a, how Republicans won the 2002 election, but
Democrats ended up running the NC Legislature), I've put up

Sat. April 10, 4-6 PM:  NC State Senator Fern Shubert, who is
one of the Republican candidates for governor, is having a
"Campaign Cookout" in the picnic shelter at North Hills Park at
1000 Chowan Circle, Raleigh.  Cost is $25 (it is a fundraising
event).  The event will include hot dogs and hamburgers along
with live acoustic entertainment.  Children under 18 will be
admitted free of charge if accompanied by an adult.  For more

monthly meeting, at the Sheraton Chapel Hill Hotel.  April's
speaker will be Richard Vinroot, one of the Republican
candidates for governor.  Reservations requested.  Buffet $11

Richard Morgan betrayed us all and sold out to the Democrats
